Scutellaria Baicalensis Georgi
Scutellaria baicalensis is a perennial herb in the labiform subject. The main efficacy & function of Scutellaria is as followings:
- Clearing away heat and eliminating dampness: Scutellaria is used for dampness-warm fever, chest tightness, thirst and no desire to drink, as well as dampness-heat diarrhea, jaundice and other diseases;
- Removing pattogenic heat from blood and placenta: Scutellaria treat pregnant women’s restless fetus, removing pattogenic heat from blood and placenta;
- Mitigating the fever: Scutellaria can mitigate the fever, which can ease the pain from disease;
- Baicalin has significant biological activities, including antibacterial, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, cholesterol-lowering, anti-thrombosis, relieving asthma, purgative and detoxification, hemostatic, antifetal, anti-allergic reaction and spasmodic effects. Baicalin is also a specific inhibitor of mammalian liver sialoenzyme, which can regulate some diseases and has strong physiological effects of anticancer reaction.
